The plastron is not only part
of the customs of hunting, it is also an indispensable resource and almost
as useful like a Swiss army knife. It can be used as a dressing for
hounds, horses, and riders, as a dog leash, and
also harness can be repaired roughly. Of course, all this
functions only with the traditional plastron and not with the modern
prefixed models.
And this is how it goes:
The plastron is placed in
front of the neck. If there is a gap to thread on end through, it is
placed at the side of the neck. The shorter end is threaded from the back and
inner side towards the outside through the gap. Now the longer piece lies
on the right side of the neck:
the right piece then embraces the left one
from the front,...
and the knot is tightened gently.
Then the right end carries out a curve to the
left and is embraced by the left one from the front.
Now the knot is tighted slightly, take care
of folds at this point:
The both pieces have now about the same
length and are crossed in front of the knot...:
...and fixed with a pin:
and your done.
A plastron should always be worn
with a vest.
